The World’s Most Influential Healthcare Event

Theme: Solutions for Brain, Body and Business

We are on the brink of new breakthroughs in understanding the human body and brain, with exciting new drugs, medical devices and platforms created every year. Yet costs continue to rise, and the healthcare industry is under pressure to not only save lives, but to also keep people healthy and costs in check.

The world’s top leaders in the $4 trillion healthcare space—CEOs, scientists, billionaires and scrappy startups, doctors and patients, tech titans and venture capitalists—will all gather on December 4 & 5 to share their insights on disruptive prescriptions for the brain, body and the business of healthcare. AHIMA19: Health Data and Information Conference

AHIMA’s centerpiece event is the AHIMA Convention and Exhibit. Each year, thousands come together to discuss the important topics and trends affecting us all. In response to changes in the industry and times, and inspired by new opportunities at hand, we have made the decision to rename our premier event.

The time is right for this transformation. The word “conference” better describes the learning that takes place over three full days, each year (and longer if you join us at the pre-conference!). Including the words, “Health Data and Information” better describes the industry and space where HIM roles are centered. Educational sessions, networking events, and exhibits remain a part of the conference. In addition, this new name provides greater clarity for individuals who are new to AHIMA, our profession, and the industry. Mark your calendars and keep an eye open for registration information for AHIMA’s Health Data and Information Conference. Let’s make 2019 an incredible year for both you and the industry!

AMIA Informatics Summit

The AMIA 2019 Informatics Summit follows the tradition of offering an exciting, innovative and engaging program around four main areas: Translational Bioinformatics, Clinical Research Informatics, Implementation Informatics and Data Science.  We want to promote a vibrant scientific ensemble and connect within and across these knowledge domains, particularly looking for new ideas and innovations that bridge across these areas of the field.  Our program will carefully blend scientifically sound “deep dive” sessions with equally essential offerings designed to promote learning, and the exchange of ideas and experiences. Expect to see activities dedicated to trending new areas, like 3D data methods and analytics to be part of the program.

Students, teachers, researchers, vendors and decision makers will all benefit from our unique environment of discovery and sharing.  And while Summit attendance continues to expand, we are still at the right size to be the “coolest” and most accessible meeting of the year.  That said, do not get distracted by the more relaxed ambiance…this meeting’s trademark of a highly intellectually energizing event remains!

Good science and complex scientific challenges are the fuel that keeps the Summit’s torch burning in beautiful San Francisco. We look forward to seeing you there!
